Growing Grey seems like a right of passage. Maybe a fuller acceptance of oneself. I have two sisters who took it on long before it became what feels like a movement to me. I haven't made the decision as of yet, even though I could represent with the best of them. But for now I will - along with my soon-to-be 96 year old Mom - color my hair.

And not counting the legions of milky-haired young things chasing the shade right now, women tend to run for cover when that happens, as I had been for more than two decades. Keeping my hair color close to its original dark-brown shade helped me feel I could control aging.
